The American Cheese Society is holding its annual conference here in San Francisco next weekend. "
Wow! That'll be great!" I exclaim in my head. Except tickets for a tasting (wine and beer are included) are 75 bucks at the door. "Do we have enough readers to start soliciting donations?" I wonder. Or maybe we could find a VC to finance us... or maybe we could write off the 75 bucks as a "business expense"... or I'll just take the 75 bucks that I'll save by not attending, head to a local cheesemonger and wine shop and hold my own tasting at home! Then I won't have to worry about sharing, dealing with crowds, or being drunk on BART. A brilliant solution, and I won't even have to alter my normal weekend itinerary.
But if anyone attends, by all means, please give us a report!
